BOARD OF DIRECTORS

SANDY ONEAL-HEDGES | PAULA DAMAN | KANDY VANDERVEER
RUTA CASABIANCA | GARRET MATSUURA

Discovering, Reaching, Embracing, Aspirations for the Millennium (D.R.E.A.M.) is an organization comprised of a cross section of many disciplines, both public and private, who have come together on behalf of the youth in crisis of San Luis Obispo County. The participating members of the D.R.E.A.M. Consortium are: San Luis Obispo County Mental Health, Department of Social Services, Probation department, CASA and the Children's Services Network. Also in support of the project have been many of our top law enforcement officials and members of the Board of Supervisors and County Office of Education.

Sandy Oneal-Hedges, President

"Being the Chairperson for the D.R.E.A.M. for Kids Foundation is a great honor. Helping build a campus for our foster children has become a passion for me and I know that with the team we have assembled we'll accomplish our goal and then some. No child should be without a place to call home or a "family" to care for them. My ultimate goal is to change the entire foster care system from the top down. I would like to go back to Washington D.C. and meet with our President regarding our kids and help be part of the solution for foster children all across the nation. I am married with two kids. They help keep me grounded and I can better appreciate what kids think and feel by having them continually express their wants and desires. I won't stop until I feel that our goals at DREAM have been met and we have accomplished what we set out to do - to create an environment for our kids that encourages dreams".
